JOYA: AiR, SPAIN RESIDENCY

ARGO, ATHENS RESIDENCY

As well as my sculptural performance practice, I am a curator and educator whose practice explores how exhibitions can create meaningful encounters between artists, audiences, and place. Since graduating, my curatorial work has evolved through the networks, collaborations, and international connections developed during and beyond my studies, enabling projects that support emerging artists and foster cross-cultural exchange.

Recent projects include Joya Flujo, where the majority of artists I selected subsequently secured funding opportunities and exhibited in Spain and across London, with further international presentations anticipated. I also curated Show Garden and contributed to the RCA–Argo–Joya Residency programme through open studios, exhibitions, and public-facing events that foregrounded artistic process and dialogue.

Alongside my curatorial practice, I work as a performance artist for other curators, developing site-responsive interventions for private views and exhibition programmes. Using the body as a sculptural and communicative tool, my performances respond directly to curatorial themes, activating spaces and creating new modes of audience engagement.
