Vulnerability is a fundamental aspect of the human experience. It can be defined as the state of being exposed to potential harm or injury, whether physical, emotional, or psychological. Being vulnerable requires us to confront our fears and insecurities and expose them to others, which can be challenging and uncomfortable. Expressing one’s vulnerability can also be a powerful tool for personal growth and connecting with others. Art can serve as a means of overcoming vulnerability by providing a safe and supportive environment for self-expression. Creativity gives artistic expression a non-judgmental space to both explore these matters from on objective point-of-view, but also connect with others that feel the same way. Artistic expression can allow individuals to feel heard, seen, and understood, fostering a sense of connection and community. Art can also inspire vulnerability in its viewers, as it often conveys raw emotions and experiences that resonate with others. By experiencing art, individuals may feel encouraged to open up and share their own vulnerabilities, leading to greater understanding and empathy.

Life is fleeting and fragile. Its’ ephemerality reminds us of the transience and the impermanence of our existence. Our time on this earth is brief, and we must make the most of every moment. The fragility of life also serves as a reminder of the value of our experiences and our relationships. Every interaction, every emotion, every moment is precious, but it is easy to lose touch in the midst of the fast-paced, Western society. We must cherish the people we love, the opportunities we have, and the beauty that surrounds us.

Ephemerality and fragility of life are also essential aspects of what makes life meaningful and are intrinsic to our human experience. Our knowledge that life is short makes us appreciate it more, and our awareness of its fragility encourages us to live it to the fullest, with kindness, intention and gratitude.. We should not waste time on trivial matters or dwell on negative experiences but rather strive to make each day count.
